"Reflections" - between illusion and reality -

This series was inspired by one of the most beautiful lake districts in the Netherlands, just south of Amsterdam. Living on a houseboat in this area, Jos became fascinated by the continuous play of the sun, clouds and wind with the water that surrounds him.

"Reflections" is about water as a mirror of the soul. Tranquil and motionless at times, then again broken and full of ripples. Just as our hearts can be quiet and peaceful, or restless and full of emotions.

"Reflections" is also about the coming and going of the seasons. Springtime green mirrors in the water and mingles with the colours of last autumn’s leafs: illusion and reality fuse together symboling the eternal circle of life.
